Smoking is a serious health hazard that effect the body . Smoking is a habit that involves inhaling tobacco smoke which contains thousands of harmful chemicals including: nicotinetar, and carbon monoxide

Smoking has severe and wide-ranging effects on health,  impacting nearly every organ in the body .

       effects of Smoking on health include:

1:effect of the Respiratory system: causes lung diseases like chronic bronchitis, emphysema,  and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ( COPD) . Is Major cause of lung cancer,  responsible for about 85% of cases . 

Leads shortness of breath( reduces lung function making it harder to breath ) coughing and wheezing .

2:effect of Cardiovascular system :  increases risk of heart disease,  high blood pressure,  strokes, and blood clots.

Narrow arteries( leads atherosclerosis)    leading to poor circulation and potential limb amputation.

3:effect of Immune system :smoking cause weakness of the body's defense against infections and diseases. 

Slows down healing and increases the risk of autoimmune disorders

Cancer Risk: increases the risk of lung , throat,  mouth , esophagus, pancreas,  kidney, bladder,and cervical cancer. 

Smoking contains carcinogens that damage DNA and trigger cancer cells growth. 

4:effect of Reproductive Health: 

Women: causes infertility,  complications in pregnancy and risks to newborns while it reduces oxygen follow to the baby.

. And increase risk of miscarriage or abortions of the newborns 

Men:leads to erectile dysfunction and lower sperm quality. 

5:Effects on appearance and aging :  causes premature wrinkles,  yellowing of teeth and bad breath .

Reduces blood flow to the skin , making it look dull and unhealthy. 

6:Mental health impact : some people believes smoking relieves stress but it actually worsen than their thoughts 💭. It worsens the normal situation and cause anxiety and depression over time. 

Nicotine addiction creates dependence , making it harder to quit. 


2. Dangers of secondhand smoking 

Secondhand smoking: refers to the smoke inhaled by Non-smokers from the burning end of the cigarette,cigar or pipe or from smoke exhaled by smokers. 

It contains harmful chemicals that can lead to health issue like Respiratory problems,heart disease and cancer .

People who are exposed to secondhand smoke, especially children and those with existing health conditions are at increased risk. 

Non-smokers exposed to smoke are at risk of lung disease heart disease and cancer. 

Harmful to children , increasing risks of asthma, infections, and sudden infant death syndrome ( SIDS) . 

3. Benefits of quitting smoking 

Immediate benefits : blood pressure and heart rate normalise within 20 minutes .

Short-term benefits: lung begin healing within weeks, improving breathing and reducing coughing.  

Long-term benefits: significantly lowers the risk of cancer,  heart disease and stroke .


Conclusion : the most important thing that you have in this life is you health. Cigarette is the most urgent that damage your health take care your life.
