what is PCOS

       1. excess androgens :

            2. estrogen and progesterone imbalance:

            3. insulin resistance:

            4. increased luteinizing hormone ( LH ) :

some women with PCOS have higher levels of LH relative to follicle stimulating hormone ( FSH ), which disrupts the normal process of ovulation.

  • weight gain or difficulty losing weight

there is no cure for PCOS, but symptoms can be managed with lifestyle changes and medications. treatment depends on the individuals symptoms and health goals. 

lifestyle modifications: weight loss through a healthy diet and regular exercise can significantly improve symptoms.

medications : birth control pills regulate menstruation and reduce androgen levels. metformin helps manage insulin resistance. fertility medications may be needed for women trying to conceive .

mental health support: therapy or support groups can help manage emotional challenges.

  • eat a balanced, low-glycemic diet rich in whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats
  • exercise regularly to improve insulin sensitivity and reduce weight
